4. Tracking Technologies Used on This Site
Based on the Site’s infrastructure and third-party integrations, the following specific tracking technologies are in use:
4.1 WordPress Platform Cookies
Technology: WordPress CMS with Divi Theme (v4.27.5)
Purpose: Core website functionality
WordPress sets functional cookies to maintain session state and ensure the website operates correctly. Typical cookies include:
- wordpress_test_cookie — Verifies that cookies are enabled in the visitor’s browser
- wp-settings-[user_id] — Stores user-specific WordPress interface preferences
- wordpress_logged_in_[hash] — Used only when a user (administrator) is logged in; not set for general site visitors
- et_pb_ab_view_page_[post_id] — Set by the Divi page builder for A/B testing of page layout variants
4.2 Cookie Consent Plugin
Technology: Cookie consent/notice banner (displayed site-wide)
Purpose: Obtaining and recording visitor cookie consent
Our Site displays a cookie consent notice on every page. When you click “Ok” to accept, a cookie is set to remember your consent preference so the notice does not appear again on future visits. Typical cookie:
- cookielawinfo-checkbox-* or viewed_cookie_policy — Records that you have acknowledged the cookie notice; typically expires after 1 year
4.3 Google Analytics
Technology: Google Analytics (standard with WordPress/Divi installations)
Third Party: Google LLC
Purpose: Website analytics and traffic measurement
Google Analytics tracks visitor behavior, traffic sources, and page performance to help us understand how the Site is used and improve our content. Google’s privacy policy is available at policies.google.com/privacy. Typical cookies include:
- _ga — Distinguishes unique users; expires after 2 years
- _ga_[ID] — Persists session state for Google Analytics 4; expires after 2 years
- _gid — Distinguishes users over a short period; expires after 24 hours
- _gat — Throttles the request rate to Google’s servers; expires after 1 minute
4.4 Google Maps Embed
Technology: Google Maps iFrame Embed (on the Contact page)
Third Party: Google LLC
Purpose: Displaying our office location
Our Contact page embeds a Google Maps iFrame showing our office location at 3535 Roswell Road, Marietta, Georgia. When this map loads, your browser makes a direct request to Google’s servers, which may allow Google to set its own cookies and collect your IP address and location data per its privacy policy. The map is embedded via Google Maps API and displays the location of Fairview Commercial Lending / Weinberg & Associates’ shared office address.
4.5 Open Graph / Facebook Meta Tags
Technology: Open Graph protocol meta tags (og: tags present on all pages)
Third Party: Meta Platforms, Inc. (when pages are shared on Facebook/Instagram)
Purpose: Social sharing preview formatting
Every page on our Site includes Open Graph meta tags (og:title, og:description, og:image, og:url) that control how pages appear when shared on Facebook, LinkedIn, and other social platforms. These tags do not themselves place cookies, but when a page is shared or previewed on those platforms, the respective platform may process the metadata per its own privacy policy.
4.6 Twitter / X Card Meta Tags
Technology: Twitter Card meta tags (twitter:card = summary on all pages)
Third Party: X Corp. (formerly Twitter, Inc.)
Purpose: Social sharing preview formatting on X/Twitter
These meta tags (twitter:card, twitter:title, twitter:description, twitter:image) control how our pages render when shared on X (formerly Twitter). They do not place cookies on your device directly but signal metadata to X’s servers when a page link is previewed or shared on the platform.
